Can Mar
With sea views in every direction, this Mediterranean holiday home looks out over bays and the picturesque fishing village of Portopetro. Tucked away on gently rising ground and sheltered by a few pine trees, the sun-drenched terrace and pool create a harmonious connection between the house and garden.
The Ibizan-style house was renovated in keeping with its character in classic matt white, combining traditional details with timeless, minimalist architecture.
Warm, natural materials, untreated wood and a seamless floor covering crafted by hand flow through both floors of the house and define its open feel.
White lime-plastered walls, bespoke light-wood furniture and the warm glow of subtle lighting create an authentic Mediterranean feel. The same is true of the terraces and outdoor areas, with their natural Santanyi sandstone surfaces.
The small estate is surrounded by a garden laid out in terraces, creating the feel of a Mediterranean oasis. Orange and lemon trees, lavender and rosemary shape the scene away from the sea views and invite you to relax.
